Genetic counselling is a communicative process that attempts to solve or explain different problems related to the risk of having or transmitting a genetic alteration in the family.
From a reproductive point of view, the most important issue is to know the real risks of transmitting a disease to offspring. We carry out reproductive genetic counselling at our facilities in the Instituto Valenciano de Genética (IVGen). The biomedical team at IVGen is composed of physicians and doctors, who are experts in Genetics. At a genetic counselling appointment, we will study the case in detail and suggest the most adequate reproductive options in a personalized manner.
