The Bioinformatics department of Sistemas Genómicos, a pioneer in Europe, started out in 2005 as a fundamental part of the development of the company. It emerged to cover the exponential increase in the data generated by omics technology in biomedicine and agrigenomics.

The Bioinformatics department of Sistemas Genómicos, a pioneer in Europe, started out in 2005 as a fundamental part of the development of the company. It emerged to cover the exponential increase in the data generated by omics technology in biomedicine and agrigenomics.

The difficulty involved in handling a growing volume of data makes it necessary to develop new bioinformatics solutions that make it easier to convert the raw data produced into biological data, meaning that we can advance knowledge on the molecular processes involved.

Our objective, through bioinformatics, is to transform data from omics techniques into working knowledge.

Obtaining a definite work scheme, both detailed and proven experimentally, is a long and complex process that requires highly qualified staff.
